The Islay Way is a South Lanarkshire companionship and befriending service, started by a founder who grew up on the Isle of Islay. We offer older adults friendly company and practical support, with the kindness you’d find in a small island community.
“Originally from the Isle of Islay, I grew up with a strong sense of community, kindness and looking out for one another. Through The Islay Way, I want to bring that same island spirit to the people of South Lanarkshire, offering trusted companionship and practical support to help everyday life feel easier.”
Founder, The Islay Way
Why the name?
On Islay, people know their neighbours. If someone hasn’t been seen for a day or two, somebody knocks on the door. That’s the Islay way, and it’s how we want every customer to feel: known, looked out for and never rushed.
